Yes, we joined Eurocities in 2008 and have been active members ever since. Our involvement has primarily focused on advancing digital innovation and enhancing social projects. Through Eurocities, we have been able to collaborate with other European cities to develop and implement cutting-edge digital initiatives, as well as create impactful social programs that improve the quality of life for our residents.

Significant Urban Projects in Rennes
Based on Stéphanie Poppe’s words, Rennes launched a Europe-wide citizens’ initiative. This petition urges the European Commission to establish reception standards for asylum seekers. These standards ensure access to food, health, housing, education, and work. The initiative aims to provide a dignified life for immigrants across Europe. It includes a new distribution mechanism based on the free will of asylum seekers. Practical solidarity between member states is also emphasized.
EuroRennes: Transforming the Central Train Station Area
