What it is
Techsylvania is a two-day technology and business conference in Cluj-Napoca. Its 13th edition took place on 24-25 June 2026 at Cluj Innovation Park. It is aimed at founders, engineers and investors rather than at public administration, and its speaker list over the years has been mostly technology executives and venture investors.
How the programme works
The conference runs on two stages: the Center Stage for keynotes and the Impact Stage for talks on building companies. Content is grouped into five themes covering more than 20 topics: Code, Product, F(o)unding, Trends and Artificial Intelligence. Around the talks there are technical workshops, Q&A sessions with speakers, executive roundtables of an hour and a half, an exhibition area and a B2B matchmaking area.
Partners also organise satellite events during the same week, from meetups to networking evenings, which turn the conference into a week of events across the city. Past satellite events have included an urban mobility start-up meetup and AI and health-tech meetups.
Who goes and how to take part
Most people attend with a ticket. In 2026 there were three types, Builder, Premium and Executive, and all three are now listed as sold out; tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person up to 15 days before the event or kept for the next edition. The Premium and Executive tickets included Q&A sessions and access to the speakers’ recordings after the event.
Early-stage companies can apply to Startup Alley, which is open to start-ups with fewer than ten employees and a product to show. In 2026 the fee was EUR 100, which bought an exhibition booth and four Builder tickets; up to 20 booths were available, and applications closed on 5 June. The 2026 call focused on e-sports, media, sports and entertainment.
Why it matters for cities
Techsylvania is not a smart-city event. For a city it is a way to see the Cluj technology sector, its companies and the investors who come to it in one place. For a Cluj event aimed at companies and the public sector together, see the Transilvania Digital Innovation Summit.
