Turin took part in the third interregional meeting of the European project PROSECO (Procurement for Social Economy) in Iași, Romania, on 7 and 8 October 2026. The city attended together with its local partner Torino Social Impact. The project promotes public procurement as a tool to support the social economy.

What the meeting covered

The meeting brought the European partners together to take stock of the results achieved in the first three semesters of the project. Partners shared experiences and good practices. They also defined the next actions to promote public procurement as a tool for supporting the social economy. According to the city, the meeting gave Turin a chance to compare approaches with other European cities and organisations working on innovative policies for social inclusion and sustainable development.

Study visit in Iași

A study visit introduced the delegation to the social economy ecosystem developed by ADV Romania and to some of the local organisations involved in the project:

  • Caferamica, a ceramics workshop and café that organises activities for people in difficulty;
  • Bistro Catinel, a family-friendly space where parents can relax and eat while children play safely.

The city describes them as concrete examples of social enterprises that generate a positive impact on their area. It thanked ADV Romania and all local partners for hosting and organising the event.
