EPA Euroméditerranée (EPAEM) in Marseille has entrusted the UAPS group and its partners with an urban adviser mission for the next six years. The aim is to support the development of Euroméditerranée and to prepare a city that is more sustainable, better connected to its neighbourhoods and adapted to its residents’ needs. The mission continues the project’s 2025-2040 framework protocol.
What the mission covers
The multidisciplinary team will help define the main planning orientations and ensure that projects are consistent with one another. It will pay particular attention to the Canet sector and to the future Aygalades stream park. According to Euroméditerranée, the park will form a major axis of the area’s ecological transition.
Who is on the team
UAPS is the lead urban adviser. Its partners are:
- D’ici Là, landscape architect
- Fabienne Nabet-Hugon, heritage architect
- BOC, programming
- Atelier Franck Boutté, environmental and sustainable development engineering
- Confluences, hydrology and ecology engineering
- TPF-Ingénierie, roads and utilities (VRD) engineering
- CITEC, mobility engineering
The 2025-2040 framework
The framework protocol sets the project’s ambitions for the next fifteen years. By 2040, four objectives guide the transformation:
- completing the first phase of Euroméditerranée;
- continuing the development of the second phase around the future Aygalades stream park;
- creating 10,000 additional homes and developing 250,000 m² of offices;
- strengthening links between the coastline and neighbouring districts.
Euroméditerranée says that, through this new step, it is pursuing its ambition of building a Mediterranean city that is more sustainable, more pleasant to live in and fully integrated into its territory.
